Cheeky kiss

Sardonyx XI is a racing yacht owned by businessman William Edwards. It was first raced at Cowes Week, one of the world’s premier regattas. It is an Edwards family tradition to name their yachts Sardonyx and they have all had a shooting star logo. William’s latest yacht continues that tradition with a logo based on his handwriting to add a personal touch. It’s almost as if he’s signed his yacht. Sardonyx XI’s spinnaker, the billowing sail flown when the yacht is racing downwind and at its fastest, is emblazoned with a gigantic X and shooting star taken from the logo. It is effectively William’s own Jolly Roger, but some see it as a cheeky kiss.

You’re a maestro.
