Back to the future

Lloyd’s Register is an engineering, technical and business services organisation. It was founded in 1760 as a marine classification society but it now works across many industry sectors and has more than 9,000 employees in 78 countries. The organisation is owned by Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity that funds research into science, engineering and technology for public benefit worldwide. Lloyd’s Register has changed massively over recent years and needed a new logo and graphic identity to reflect those changes. It also needed an identity architecture to link all the members in the group. Lloyd’s Register’s logo is drawn from its heritage. It was inspired by the LR stamp that its surveyors have punched into steel as proof of approval since 1884.

Now I know why we needed to bring you in to do this complex work.
