Look at it this way

Disability Rights UK is run by and for people with a lived experience of disability or health conditions. They're all about building a society where everyone can participate equally. They're breaking the link between disability and poverty; supporting disabled people to take control of their lives; making independent living a reality; and putting equality and human rights into practice.

Disability Rights UK’s logo came out of the thought that disability can happen to anyone at any time, but nobody should have to live with a label. So it's about unsticking the disability label. And that's all there is to it. Design doesn’t get more obvious than that.
