On 31 August 1997 Diana’s tragic death
shook the world. The spontaneous
outpouring of emotion gave rise to
The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial
Fund. This extraordinary charity was
set up in extraordinarily difficult
circumstances as a lasting legacy to the
Princess' humanitarian work. It gave
grants to UK and international
charities in support of people on the
margins of society.
The Fund's signature logo conjures
up Diana's personality and showed that
the Fund was literally held in her name.
And it's become one of the most
recognised hallmarks in the world.
